LAURA SNOW

is a Brooklyn-based media producer and documentary filmmaker. Laura is the Director of Media for New York City Ballet, where she produces year-round digital, documentary and promotional videos for the company, as well as City Ballet: The Podcast.  Laura recently directed a short documentary for the company, “RETURN TO FORM: Creating Kyle Abraham’s When We Fell.”

Since 2012, Laura has collaborated with the dance-theatre-media company the feath3r theory as their resident video editor, and was recently appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. 

Laura is currently directing her first feature-length documentary film integrating live performance, on long-time feath3r theory collaborator and Artistic Director Raja Feather Kelly, titled, ANY GIVEN WEDNESDAY.

In the field of Documentary, Laura's short film LEAVE-TAKING premiered in the 2016 DocNYC U Showcase and won the Online Audience Award at the 2017 Mindscape Film Festival.

Laura has associate produced documentary series on topics ranging from the Ebola outbreak in West Africa to the experience of U.S. veterans in combat for networks such as PBS, the Discovery Channel, Vice, A&E and CNN. Laura was an associate producer on the 2016 Sundance Festival documentary feature on the aftermath of the Sandy Hook shooting, NEWTOWN, and the 2018 Tribeca Festival film on the Haditha Massacre, HOUSE TWO

Laura holds a B.A. in Dance and American Studies from Connecticut College and a post graduate certificate in Documentary Filmmaking from New York Film Academy.  She obtained her M.A. in Arts and Cultural Management with a Specialization in the Moving Image from the University of Melbourne in 2011, after which she spent one year as the Feature Film Program Manager of Australia's Human Rights Arts and Film Festival.

In 2020, Laura spent a semester as a visiting lecturer at Princeton University, co-lecturing a seminar with Kelly in Princeton’s Atelier program.
